Star Filly Jamaea Highlights Cressfield Magic Quality

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Sunday January 2

Leading Hunter Valley nursery Cressfield has produced many Group I performers over the years, but the current flagbearer for the farm is bonny three year-old filly Jamaea, who was plucked from their Magic Millions draft in 2020 by her co-trainer Rob Price for $130,000.

Jamaea won the $1million Group II ATC Percy Sykes Stakes at two and last spring returned at three to win the Group II ATC Furious Stakes banking over $900,000 for connections with three wins and two seconds from just five starts.

Currently in Queensland preparing for a tilt at the $2million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, Jamaea will have a class edge on many of her rivals and will take some beating despite missing a run at Doomben on Saturday due to the heavy track.

Jamaea was bred and sold by Cressfield as was her Group II winning sire Headwater, who has two yearlings to be offered in the Cressfield draft of 13 for Magic Millions 2022 with highlights below and click here to see the full draft:
