Magic Millions Hopefuls Line Up at Warwick Farm

The two year-old maiden at Warwick Farm this afternoon features several Magic Millions eligible youngsters from major stables that have trialled well in preparation for their debut.

Peter and Paul Snowden will send out Deep Field colt Californiadeeply, who won his only trial at Randwick last month.

Californiadeeply as a yearling.

A $380,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Coolmore draft for Asian Bloodstock Services, he is from Group III placed Murtajill mare Murtle Turtle, who was a winner at two.

Annabel Neasham will saddle Snitzel colt Hyde, who has finished fourth in his only two trials and has the benefit of barrier one.

A $600,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Sledmere Stud draft for Tony Fung Investments/Phoenix Thoroughbreds, Hyde is the first foal of Helix Park, a winning half-sister by Nicconi to stakes-winner Outdo.

The John O’Shea stable have the services of Hugh Bowman for their first starter, a colt by Shalaa (IRE) called Shalailed, who was second in his only trial to Golden Queen, who runs at Sandown.

Shalailed as a yearling.

A $280,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Segenhoe draft, Shalailed is from blueblood Fastnet Rock mare Unassailed, a metro winning half-sister to stakes-winners Great Esteem and High Esteem from the family of international Group I stars Central Park and Moon Ballad.
