Fifteen two-year-old fillies charged down the Flemington straight in the Group III Darley Ottawa Stakes (1000m) on Oaks Day and it was the unraced division that dominated the finish.
Looking every inch a true professional, the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained See You in Heaven went straight as an arrow down the centre of the track to ring up the first stakes-winner for Aquis Farm’s Caulfield Guineas hero Divine Prophet (Choisir).
Ridden by Craig Williams, See You In Heaven defeated the well-supported Satin Love (Snitzel) by one and a quarter lengths with a short-head back to Bohemian Daisy who credited Yarraman Park Stud’s Hellbent with his first stakes horse.
“I spoke to Richard this morning and the only reason I’m getting interviewed is because of their education of this filly,” Williams said.
“They travelled her over here with confidence.

“He said that she doesn’t bounce out of the gates, she props up and did that today. She’s got really nice speed (but) the only thing about her characteristics is that she likes to kick other horses.
“That’s the only thing I had to deal with pre-race that she didn’t injure anyone else.
“Very professional, very good ability and everyone could see that today.”
A $27,000 purchase by Kestrel Thoroughbreds when offered by Aquis at the 2020 National yearling Sale, See You In Heaven was consigned by Alexia Fraser Bloodstock to the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale where she was knocked down to Richard and Chantelle Jolly for $90,000.
See You In heaven is the fifth winner from six to race out of the Melbourne winning Anabaa mare Shine On Anna.
A daughter of the stakes-placed Machiavellian mare Shine On Me, Shine On Anna foaled a Cliff’s Edge colt on October 11.
See You In Heaven comes from the second crop of Divine Prophet whose daughter Fortunate Kiss finished third behind Enthaar in the Group III Chairman’s Stakes at Caulfield in January when on debut, and more recently was an excellent fifth in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas.
Divine Prophet stands at Aquis Stud for a fee of $16,500 (inc gst).
