Gooree Park Stud Welcome New Stud Manager

Gooree Park Stud has announced the appointment of their new Stud Manager, Peter Ward. He joins the team following the departure of long-time Stud Manager, Andrew Baddock, in July this year.

Peter Ward is the new stud manager for Gooree Park Stud.

“We are looking forward to a new chapter at Gooree Park and believe that Peter is the best fit for the direction we are taking,” said Gooree Park Managing Director, Mike Barrera.

“He will be a great asset; and has the experience, competence, and professionalism to lead the team.”

Peter brings with him experiences from his work at numerous Studs in both Australia and New Zealand over 20 years.

Of these, his positions included Foreman at Graeme Sanders Racing (NZ), and Stallion Manager and Stud Manager positions at Highview (NZ), Windsor Park (NZ), and Bell View Park Stud (AUS).

He has worked extensively in all aspects of Stud Management, is an excellent horseman, and has earned the respect of all those he has worked with in the past and within the industry as a whole.

With Peter on board, Gooree Park Stud looks forward to welcoming mares, foals, weanlings, and yearlings for breeding, handling, and sales preparation

The doors are now open, and the signature rolling hills of Gooree are prepped and ready to give your horses #TheFoundationOfChampions. 

Gooree Park Stud’s Complex is headed by pre-trainer, Mack Griffith, and is available for your Spellers and Racehorses for the complementing Pre-training package.
