Coming
off a weekend when he sired a new stakes-winner in Fox Swift and stakes
performers Foxplay and Albumin, Foxwedge kept the momentum going with an impressive
debut winner at Goulburn on Monday.
Prepared on the track by Danny Williams, three year-old filly Think Like a Fox
was favourite for the 1300 metre maiden.
She settled back in the field and unwound a powerful finish to score a
thrilling nose win to arrive right on the line.
A modest $30,000 Inglis Classic purchase for her trainer from the Lincoln Farm
draft, Think Like a Fox is the first winner for Ithinkso, a half-sister by Anabaa
(USA) to triple Group I winner and $2.2 million earner Spinning Hill.
Foxwedge was the Champion Second Crop Sire last season and is fully booked at
Newgate Farm this spring at a fee of $22,000.
