I Am Invincible Delivers 100th Winner for Gollan

A $500,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Gollan Racing/John Foote Bloodstock, two year-old I Am Invincible colt Brentwood became the 100th metro winner of the season for champion trainer Tony Gollan when saluting at Doomben on Wednesday.

Brentwood had the benefit of a recent trial and the advantage of barrier one with Ryan Maloney guiding the colt to a length and a quarter win in the 1200m maiden.
 



Brentwood runs for a syndicate that includes Aquis, Black Soil Bloodstock and partners and was bred by Yarraman Park in partnership.

Brentwood was a $500,000 Magic Million syearling.
He is the first foal of Group III placed Lonhro mare Pursuits, a half-sister to Group III winner Jorda and to the dam of juvenile stakes-winner Espaaniyah, who is also by I Am Invcincible.

Yarraman Park sold the full sister to Brentwood at Magic Millions this year for $530,000 to Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock.

Pursuits has another I Am Invincible filly to follow and is back in foal again to the champion sire.

Brentwood is the  17th 2YO winner this season for I Am Invincible, who has 124 entries for the 2022 Golden Slipper.
