After 15 starts and over two years out of the winners stall, the 4yo Snitzel gelding reloaded made it two wins on the bounce with a dominant performance in Saturday’s Group III Lord Mayors Cup (1800m) at Eagle Farm.
Ridden by James McDonald for trainer Chris Waller, Reloaded tracked Tiptronic and Homesman around the home turn.
Hitting the front 300m out, Reloaded stayed on strongly to defeat So You Win (So You Think) by a length with a further short-neck back to Homesman (USA) (War Front), who stuck on bravely for third.
Purchased by Harras Syndicate/Mulcaster Bloodstock for $350,000 out of the Arrowfield Stud draft at the 2018 Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Reloaded advances his record to three wins, three seconds and three thirds from 18 starts with earnings of $564,750.
He is one of six winners from seven to race out of the crack racemare Hollow Bullet.
A daughter of the Sunday Silence stallion Tayasu Tsuyoshi, Hollow Bullet won six races highlighted by the Group 1 Arrowfield Stud Stakes and Group II VRC Wakeful Stakes.
Hollow Bullet has a yearling filly by Maurice (JPN), which Ciaron Maher Bloodstock purchased for $200,000 at the Inglis Premier.
Hollow Bullet was not covered last spring after foaling a filly by Pariah.
Snitzel stands the 2021 season at Arrowfield Stud at a fee of $165,000.
