Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Friday May 28

A busy set of trials at Randwick on Friday morning included seven won by juveniles including a Not a Single Doubt colt that has now had two trials for two wins.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Huesco won a 740m trial at Randwick on May 13 when he travelled deep, then hit the line hard and showed good improvement from that effort in a longer trial this time stepping out to 1050m.

Drawn the inside this time. He jumped well for Brenton Avdulla to hold the fence and lead and galloped strongly to the lien to win by nearly two lengths. He ran 1.03.99 seconds which was the quickest of three 2YO heats at that trip.

A $200,000 Magic Millions purchase, Huesco as a yearling.
