I Am Invincible Leads Covering Sires at MM National

The record breaking Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale highlighted the demand for mares in foal to Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible with the two highest priced mares on the final day of trade on Thursday both selling in foal to him.

Group I winning Foxwedge mare Volpe Veloce made $1.9million for the Newgate Consignment when snapped up by Sheamus Mills B'stock/Longwood T'bred Farm/Peter Morgan, while Yarraman Park consigned Taste of Heaven made $1.6million for her US based owners when bought by Mitchell Bloodstock.

In total, there were nine mares offered that were covered by I Am Invincible and eight were sold at an average $1,142,500.

I Am Invincible stands this spring at a fee of $220,000 making him the most expensive sire in Australia.
