Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 6

A mare bought from the Inglis Broodmare Sale last year for $65,000 has proven an inspired purchase with the foal she was carrying selling for $400,000 today.

Newgate Farm’s young gun Capitalist has had his fee increased from $44,000 to $99,000 on the back of his stunning first crop racetrack results with his weanlings in hot demand at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale on Thursday highlighted by a colt from Laylia that made $400,000 on Thursday.
