Chairman's Sale Wildcards Confirmed

Multiple Stakes winners and two shares in star young stallion Extreme Choice – who provided this year’s G1 Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside in his first crop to race - headline Wildcard entries for next week’s Chairman’s Sale.

In total five Wildcards will be offered next Friday evening, May 7, including:

*G3 winner Serious Satire (More Than Ready), in foal to champion stallion Snitzel

Current season stakes-winner Macroura - image Grant Courtney.

*Dual Stakes winner Macroura (Snitzel), a recent G3 winner at Moonee Valley

*Two lifetime breeding shares to popular young Newgate stallion Extreme Choice

*O’Reilly mare Veravarti, a half sister to a G1 winner

They join the likes of G1 winners Pippie, Nettoyer, Celebrity Queen, In Her Time (IF to I Am Invincible), El Dorado Dreaming, Danzdanzdance, multiple G1 producers, Stakes winners and a half sister to champion mare Winx at the Chairman’s Sale in what will be a memorable night at Riverside.

The Chairman’s Sale is a highlight of what is shaping as a spectacular eight days of action at Riverside which also includes the HTBA May Sale (Sunday May 2 and Monday May 3), the Australian Weanling Sale (Thursday May 6) and the Australian Broodmare Sale (Sunday May 9).

The May Sale yearlings are arriving at Riverside today, with on-site inspections beginning tomorrow morning.

Included in the May Sale – the final chance to buy a top-level yearling in NSW this season – are progeny of the likes of Capitalist, Deep Field, So You Think, Zoustar, Sebring and More Than Ready in the 358-strong catalogue.

The one-day Australian Weanling Sale represents a catalogue filled with opportunities for pinhookers and end users alike.

Not only are the tried and proven stallions such as Snitzel, Written Tycoon, Exceed And Excel, Fastnet Rock, Pierro, Lord Kanaloa, Deep Field, So You Think, Capitalist, Shalaa, So You Think, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie etc all represented, but it’s also the first opportunity to purchase from what looks to be a stunning crop of first season sires.

From the first foals of the undefeated Triple Crown winner Justify to those of four-time G1 winner Trapeze Artist, Australian Guineas and Makybe Diva Stakes victor Grunt, G1 Blue Diamond winner Written By, as well as the likes of international superstars Harry Angel, Saxon Warrior and Mendelssohn etc, it is sure to present buyers with unlimited opportunities to purchase a weanling to syndicate, race or onsell.

While some drafts will be available earlier, most weanlings will be available for inspection from Monday, May 3, ahead of the sale on Thursday May 6.

And the week-long series of auctions concludes with the Australian Broodmare Sale on Sunday May 9.

A strong catalogue of 237 has been finalised for the sale, which includes mares in foal to the likes of Capitalist, Snitzel, Exceed And Excel, Written Tycoon, Zoustar, Dundeel, Deep Field, Extreme Choice, Shalaa, So You Think, Frosted and Flying Artie – plus new stallions such as Pierata, Yes Yes Yes, Too Darn Hot, Exceedance, Microphone, Castelvecchio, Brutal, Alabama Express, Blue Point, Calyx, Zousain, Cosmic Force, Magna Grecia and Tassort.

Chairman’s Sale lots will be available for inspection from Wednesday May 5, while mares for the Australian Broodmare Sale will be available from Thursday May 6.
