$1.2Million I Am Invincible Filly Kicks Off Inglis Easter Day 2

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 7

The second lot into the ring at Riverside Stables on day two of the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale was the first foal of Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes winner Catchy and she sold for $1.2million.

Consigned by Bhima Thoroughbreds for her breeder Rob Crabtree of Dorrington Farm, the star filly was bought by Guy Mulcaster acting for Chris Waller Racing/ Hermitage Thoroughbreds, who were also involved with the purchase of the I Am Invincible filly from Vezelay for $1.25 million yesterday.

$1.2million I Am Invincible filly from Catchy

“We picked out two beautiful fillies by I Am Invincible for this partnership with Hermitage,” Guy Mulcaster told Inglis’s Jemma Cutting.

“There’s not much between these two fillies, they will mate up together and Chris (Waller) will train both of them so they will go through the system together.”

Catchy was a savvy purchase for Dorrington Farm, bought from the Coolmore draft at Inglis Easter in 2016 for $220,000.

The daughter of Fastnet Rock was an immediate success winning the Group I MRC Blue Diamond and a string of good races as well as placing in the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas and MVRC William Reid Stakes.

Catchy had a filly by Zoustar last year and is now in foal to Too Darn Hot (GB).

$1million I Am Invincible colt from Caveat

I Am Invincible quickly followed up with the second million dollar yearling of the sale when his colt from Caveat offered by Colmore fetched $1million when secured by Andrew Williams Bloodstock with a trainer still to be decided.

He comes from the family of Group I winners Sepoy, Canny Lad, Camarilla, Guelph and of course current sprint star Bivouac.

Bred by Darley, Caveat has had a few ownership changes but is now with Coolmore and was last sold at the 2019 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale when she made $500,000 when carrying this colt.

Caveat had a Justify (USA) filly last spring, but unfortunately missed to Fastnet Rock after that.
