Not
a Single Doubt trails his stablemate Snitzel this season in terms of juvenile
winners, but added a tenth to the tally at Canberra on Friday with an
impressive win against older horses for this youngster.
The Nick Olive trained two year-old colt Let it Roll was a short priced
favourite for the 1280 metre maiden and sped away to win by two and a quarter
lengths.
Second at his previous two runs back from a spell he had fitness on his side
and race experience.
A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft, Let it Roll is
the first winner for metro winning Fastnet rock mare Princess Layla, who comes from
the family of Group winners Tuscan Sling, Lit ‘n’ In My Veins and Hi World.
Not a Single Doubt has had a phenomenally successful season producing four individual
Group I winners in Extreme Choice, Secret Agenda, Scales of Justice and Clearly
Innocent, which is one more than any other stallion.
