Three year-old High Chaparral (IRE) filly I'm a Princess opened her account at her third start when leading all the way to win by a length and a half over 1600 metres at Balaklava as favourite.
The horse she beat is also a watch horse as Angelucci is a half-brother by So You Think to multiple Group I winner Preferment.
Prepared by Tony McEvoy, I'm a Princess has shown sharp improvement with every race and with Black Type fillies events looming in Adelaide, she appeals as a progressive type to follow through the autumn.
She is a homebred for Graham and Linda Huddy, who enjoyed so much success with Shoot Out, a five time Group I winner of $3.2million, whose feature wins ranged from the Blue Riband of the AJC Australian Derby to back to back wins in the Chipping Norton Stakes at 1600 metres.
I'm a Princess is the fifth winner from Pentamerous, who is also the dam of Group III WATC West Australian Oaks winner Cassandara Shadow.
The last crop of yearlings by High Chaparral are being offered this year with six headed for Inglis Easter, click here to see them.
