Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 7

The Randwick barrier trials on Thursday morning featured four heats for juveniles with Magic Millions contender Readily Availabull looking sharp and bright with a comfortable win.

The John Sargent trained son of Bull Point won the Ballarat Magic Millions Clockwise Classic on November 21 and was having his first public outing since then.

He travelled deep under Regan Bayliss throughout the 1045m trial and surged to the line under a hold to win by a head.

Bought for just $25,000 from the Armidale Stud draft at the Tasmanian Magic Millions by John Sargent Racing/Mitchell Bloodstock (FBAA), Readily Availabull is second on the order of entry for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic so is assured a start in the big race on Saturday week.

Three other juvenile heats were run over 740m with the Go Bloodstock colours carried by talented I Am Invincible filly Bunchen, who showed plenty of ability in her first outing and was the quickest winner of the three.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Boss, Bundchen jumped from the outside gate and was wide all the way before powering to the line for Tommy Berry to win by a length running away.

Bundchen was a $400,000 Inglis Easter purchase.

A $400,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Go Bloodstock from the Sledmere Stud draft, Bundchen was bred by China Horse Club, who retain a share in her ownership and she is the first foal of Group III winning Exceed and Excel mare Yattarna.

The other two juvenile heats were both won by Waterhouse / Bott stable trained runners in Excella Bella (Exceed and Excel) and Vintage (Snitzel).
