Newhaven Park Welcomes Katherine Sheridan

Media Release - Monday September 11
Newhaven Park has announced the appointment of Katherine Sheridan to the management team.

Katherine has moved from her role at Magic Millions and has commenced an exciting new position as Manager of Operations, Client Relations and Marketing, as well as being involved in a wide variety of other areas of the business.

Katherine is originally from County Clare, Ireland, where her father was an equine veterinarian and part time horse trainer. Horses and racing were an integral part of growing up and throughout her family and working life, her passion has flourished.

Katherine has a Bachelor's Degree in Law and European Studies and is a qualified Attorney-at-Law in the State of New York.
During her years at University, she worked as an Assistant and Trackwork Rider for a local jump racing trainer, all the while expanding her appreciation and understanding of the business.

After coming to Australia in November 2012, Katherine's equine roots resurfaced and she commenced work at Magic Millions on the Gold Coast in the position of Credit Controller. Throughout her time there, she gained immense knowledge and experience in all aspects of the thoroughbred sales and racing worlds alike.

John Kelly believes Katherine will add tremendous value to the existing team: "With Katherine, comes a wealth of experience and passion for horses and the thoroughbred industry, forged from a young age. We feel Katherine's experiences will fit her well to uphold the values of our family and help promote the future direction of Newhaven Park."

Katherine is equally happy about the move: "I am delighted to be working for John and the Kelly Family. Newhaven Park has a long-standing tradition for success and I hope to contribute significantly in my new role here."

Katherine commenced work at Newhaven on 4 September 2017 and can be contacted at katherine@newhavenpark.com.au.
