I
Am Invincible sired his third juvenile winner in the past four days with a
debut victory at Pakenham on Tuesday for Magnetar, a $150,000 Inglis Classic
purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Lindsay Park Racing/ Matchem Racing.
Prepared by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, the speedy gelding went straight to
the front from gate one in the Champion Thoroughbreds colours and led throughout
to beat older rivals and win the 1100 metre maiden by a length.
Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Magnetar is a full brother to stakes-placed
Tetsuko and half-brother to stakes-placed Star Cat and Purrpurrlena, the dam of
Champion South African 2YO Filly Entisaar.
He is the eighth winner from stakes-winning producer Magdalena, who is now
retired from stud duties with her last foal a weanling colt by I am Invincible.
I Am Invincible has been on a roll in recent weeks and has sired five
Australian stakes-winners this season – I am a Star, Look to the Stars, Divine
Centuri, Super One and Sundance.
He stands at a fee of $55,000 at Yarraman Park this spring.
