Mark Newnham has a lot of horses in his stable, but Greysful Glamour lays claim to being the favourite of them all having been with him from the start.

“She’s been with me from the start and is a favourite with everyone,” said Mark Newnham, explaining the mare was in top order despite her recent lack of form in Melbourne.
“She just needed a dry track and a familiar jockey to do her best.
“She’s an easy horse to train, she makes it very easy for me.”
A $90,000 Inglis Easter Session II purchase for Darby Racing / De Burgh Equine from Edinglassie Stud, Greysful Glamour has five wins and nine placings from 32 starts and has won over $660,000 in prizemoney.
She might be by a Golden Slipper winner in Stratum, but Greysful Glamour is blessed with a stout staying pedigree on her dam side.
Greysful Glamour is a half-sister to Group III placed Celestial Falls and is the first foal of Rippled (GB), a minor winner by classic sire Dalakhani from a daughter of Sadler’s Wells. The family features many European Black Type winners including high class stayer Libran (IRE), who was second in the Group I ATC Sydney Cup.
Rippled has a yearling filly by Pierro and after missing to Dundeel last year and has been covered this spring by Fastnet Rock.
