Three Bridges Hidden Gems for VOBIS Gold

Tara Madgwick - Thursday April 14
The 2016 Inglis Melbourne VOBIS Gold Yearling Sale starts this Sunday at Oaklands offering a wealth of opportunity for the canny investor looking to gain their slice of the sensational VOBIS incentive prizemoney on offer.

"VOBIS is the best breeding incentive scheme in the world, so this sale offers an amazing opportunity to purchase an affordable racehorse capable of winning serious prizemoney," said Toby Liston of Three Bridges.

"I bet all the owners involved in If Not Now When with Henry Dwyer are over the moon about their investment so far, 15k into 230 in her first two starts and it could easily increase this weekend!"

The Caulfield meeting this Saturday features six VOBIS Only races with $1,480,000 in prizemoney and bonuses, so what are you waiting for!

Three Bridges will present nine yearlings, five by their Group I producing sire Stryker, – click here to see their pedigrees – with a couple of standouts below.

Lot 152 – Colt Stryker x Actrice, by Elvstroem

Toby Liston – "The closest looking colt to Stryker I've seen so far, he has his swagger, beautiful head and best laid back attitude.

He would have been offered at the Premier sale, but the owner didn't want to sell at the time, changed his mind and now here he is. He will certainly be a stand out for sure and I am confident that he would be in the top 10% of any sale in the country on type, he is just a lovely looking colt."

Also well worth consideration Lot 44, a strong well grown Stryker filly from Shamardal (USA) mare Los Feliz and Lot 204, a Lope de Vega (IRE) filly from Etoile de Cozzene (USA), pictured below).

Toby Liston – "A little smokey, she is a good walking filly and the only one in the sale by her sire. She is also BOBS and VOBIS nominated. So if anyone has a BOBS double up of late they can use it all up and buy an inexpensive filly for the future. There are endless opportunities and you just never know where the good horses come from."
