Talented Zoustar mare Madam Rouge was beaten a head in the Group I BRC Stradbroke Handicap back in June and hit top form at Caulfield to win the Group II MRC Tristarc Stakes (1400m).

Getting better and better with each preparation, the Chris Waller trained mare finished with a well timed run under Ben Melham to score a neck win taking her overall record to six wins and five seconds from 25 starts with over $1.2million in earnings.

A $310,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft for Waller Racing/ Mulcaster Bloodstock, Madam Rouge runs for a syndicate of stable clients that also includes Raffles Racing and Widden Stud, who co-bred the filly.

Madam Rouge is the best of two winners from stakes-winning Al Maher mare Cabernet, a daughter of stakes-winner Golden Weekend.

At Ascot in Western Australia, progressive four year-old Indian Pacific maintained his impressive strike rate when scoring a head win in the Listed WATC RS Crawford Stakes (1000m).

Trained by Neville Parnham, Indian Pacific was having his first run back from a spell and came from off the pace to win taking his overall record to six wins and two placings from eight starts with over $220,000 in prizemoney.

A $110,000 Inglis Premier purchase for his trainer from the Bowness Stud draft, Indian Pacific was also bred by Bowness and is a half-brother to stakes-placed Heavy being the best of six winners from stakes-winner Rosarino.

Indian Pacific is the 16th stakes-winner for Zoustar and is his third in the past four days joining Madam Rouge and Ranting, who won the Group III MRC Blue Sapphire on Wednesday.

Zoustar stands at a fee of $121,000 this spring.
