Hong Kong Double for Sebring

Tara Madgwick - Sunday November 22
Up running fifth on the Australian General Sires List, Widden Stud's flagship sire Sebring has had a flurry of recent winners with eight in the past seven days including two in Hong Kong.

Lucky Bubbles - Grant CourtneyAmong his winners have been smart mare Sebrina, who saluted at Rosehill, debut winning two year-old filly The Last Kiss, who scored at Doomben and promising three year-old Happy Chappy who was successful at Sha Tin last Wednesday.

Possibly the most exciting of all of his winners has been Hong Kong based four year-old Lucky Bubbles, who posted his fourth win from just seven starts when racing away to win the Class Two sprint over 1200 metres by two lengths at Sha Tin on Saturday.

Lucky Bubbles was made a Breednet 'One to Watch' when he bolted in at Wyong at his second start last August and has run right up to that form since transferring to Hong Kong.

Previously trained by Bjorn Baker and now with KW Lui in Hong Kong, Lucky Bubbles has won his past three starts and looks a very bright prospect for the future.

A $90,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft, Lucky Bubbles was bred by Gilgai Farm and is the first foal of stakes-placed Bubble Below, a half-sister by Hussonet (USA) to stakes-winner Lunaspur and three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group II winner Colorado Claire.

Sebring has an impressive draft of 50 lots for the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
