Currently leading the Australian General Sires List by earnings and stakes-winners, Written Tycoon is riding the crest of a winning wave this season and Valiant Stud are delighted to present an outstanding colt by the boom sire at Inglis Ready2Race on October 20.
Valiant Stud will offer six two year-olds, but Lot 79 is an obvious standout, stamped clearly by his sire and blessed with pedigree, plus talent as you can see in his breeze up which stopped the clock at 10.42 seconds.
He is the first foal of a winning three-quarter sister-in-blood to stakes-winner Villami from a power packed Black Type family as his dam Play for Time is a daughter of blue hen Procrastinate.
The family will have a chance for further enhancement this weekend when three year-old filly Personal lines up in the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas.
The fastest of the Valiant Stud draft was Lot 193, a colt by first season sire Odyssey Moon from stakes-placed Bright Heart that breezed in 10.23 seconds.
A half-brother to Group II placed Volpino, he is the image of his sire Odyssey Moon, who won the Inglis Nursery on debut in 2014 before going on to finish second to Pride of Dubai in the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes.
The draft also features the following:
Lot 23 Colt Star Turn x In the Moment (NZ), by Keeper – 10.24 seconds
From the first crop of promising young sire Star Turn, who has made a great start with his first two runners both being placed, Astrologer finishing third in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate and Stellar Magic finishing second at Eagle Farm. This colt is from a winning half-sister to Group III winner Autumn Jeuney.
Lot 87 Colt Star Turn x Private Kiss, by General Nediym – 10.43 seconds
Another by Star Turn and this fellow is very similar in appearance to both his sire and grand-sire Star Witness. He is a sibling to four winners from a full sister to stakes-winning juvenile Paprika.
Lot 121 Colt Sooboog x Snuffs the Battle, by Duporth 10.74 seconds
From the first crop of Snitzel sprinter Sooboog and is the first foal of a winning daughter of stakes-winner Princess Marizza.
Lot 128 Colt Better Than Ready x Sophia de Lago, by Encosta de Lago 10.70 seconds
By a prolific sire of juvenile winners in Better Than Ready and is a half-brother to two winners from a three-quarter sister-in-blood to champion filly and four-time Group I winner Alinghi.
