Breathtaking Debut by Written Tycoon's Enthaar

Mark Smith - Saturday October 3

From the first time she stepped out in public at the trials , Enthaar has looked something special and the daughter of Written Tycoon would have added a legion of fans after making a stunning racetrack debut in the Group III Keeneland Gimcrack Stakes (1000m) at Randwick.

What a debut - Enthaar makes a statement (Steve Hart)

Sporting the silks carried to victory in the Golden Slipper by Mossfun and Estijaab, Enthaar sat three deep from an outside barrier but when James McDonald asked her to extend the response was breathtaking.

It was no contest over the final two hundred metres with Enthaar putting on the Not A Single Doubt filly Mallory with I Am Invincible’s Total Babe back in third.

Enthaar stopped the clock at 0:57.06, only Catch Me has won the race in faster time.

“The performance speaks for itself, it felt as good as it look. She is just a dream to ride,” McDonald enthused.

“Once she few the machine she did everything like a three-year-old. She just floats along the ground, relaxes well and when I asked her to go she just lowered,
“I think she is crying out for six furlongs now.
“She is the most mature two-year-old I have sat on, she is just all there. Her action is so strong, mentally she is so strong and with her cruising speed it will hold her in great stead.”

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Enthaar is a homebred for Emirates Park.

Wins with ears pricked (Steve Heart)

She is the second foal and first to race out of the Not A Single Doubt mare Final Agreement a sister to Group 1 winner Secret Agenda.

Purchased by Emirates Park for $400,000 from the Newgate Farm draft at the 2016 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, Final Agreement has a yearling colt by I Am Invincible before missing to the Yarraman Park stallion last spring.

Enthaar becomes the 37th stakes-winner for Arrowfield Stud’s new recruit Written Tycoon who has made a brilliant start to the new season.
