The first European bred yearlings by Galileo’s champion son Churchill made a good impression at the 2020 Goffs Orby Yearling Sale this week.
The four time Group I winner had six yearlings sell for £100,000 or more including: £220,000 (A$394,245), £160,000 (A$286,723), £150,000 (A$268,815) and £140,000 (A$250,894).
His top seller was a cracking colt from Pivotalia that was knocked down to Jamie McCalmont for £220,000.
Consigned by Glenvale Stud, the colt is a half-brother to Group III winner Onenightidreamed.
His top priced filly at £160,000 was the first foal of stakes-winner Rioticism that was snapped up by J.P. Murtagh Racing/PeterNolan.
The first Australian bred Churchill yearlings will be offered at 2021 yearling sales.
Churchill is back in Australia this spring at a fee of $19,250.
