Sheraco Stakes analysis

Clinton Payne - Friday September 8

The Racenet Speedmaps and form analysts have combined to give punters a leg-up in the $150,000 Group III Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

Racenet's Sheraco Stakes speedmap.

Racenet's Speedmaps spokesman Greg Polson said this should be a genuinely run affair with plenty of speed drawn out off the track.

"Bonny O'reilly and Hussterical have drawn the widest gates so if they run, you can expect a strong gallop," Polson said.

"Daysee Doom maps favourably behind the speed while of those that will be midfield or worse – Gibraltar Girl, Ghisoni, Danish Twist and Ravi get the best runs.

"If this plays out the way I expect – they should all get their chance if good enough."

Corporate bookie Ladbrokes are offering $3.60 for the favourite Bonny O'reilly, $5 Omei Sword, $8 Ghisoni, $8.50 Daysee Doom, $9.50 Denmagic, $10 Ravi and Gibraltar Girl, $17 Danish Twist with the other runners at $21 or better.

"As you would expect in a high quality mares race – we believe this is more open than the market would suggest," Racenet form analyst Cameron Happ said.

"We couldn't get Bonny O'reilly anywhere near as short as she is in the market and that's based on the early work we think she will have to do and the fact that she's only one from three in black-type company and that win came in a Listed race during the Brisbane winter carnival when she got all favours.

"Our top-rated horse Daysee Doom has a much better record at this level and she only has to give Bonny O'reilly a kilo.

"She's also drawn to get the right run and at $8.50 she's a much more attractive bet.

"Using the Ladbrokes Odds Boost you can lock in $11 for Daysee Doom and that's a good bet."
