stallion that has experienced the highs and lows of racing and breeding, Haradasun
featured with a new stakes-winner on Thursday when his six year-old son Royal
Rada won the Listed Hannans Handicap at Kalgoorlie in WA.
The Neville Parnham trained gelding capped a winning hat-trick with his head
win in the feature 1400 metre sprint, taking his overall record to 10 wisn and
nine placigns from 39 styarts with prizemoney nearing $250,000.
A $75,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Bell River Thoroughbreds draft,
Royal Rada is the first foal of Royal Emerger, a half-sister by Flying Spur to Group
I winner Demerger from the family of Group I stars such as Triscay, Defier and
La Baraka.
Royal Emerger has already foaled this spring producing this filly by Dundeel at Edinglassie.
Royal Rada is the sixth stakes-winner for Haradasun, who started his stud
career at Coolmore before being transferred to New Zealand where he now stands
at Grangewilliam Stud at a fee of $5,000.
