The
Hong Kong market is an important one for Australian breeders and a sire whose progeny excel in this jurisdiction
adds an important string to his bow.
Yarraman Park's I Am Invincible had seven winners from 10 runners in Hong Kong
last season and sired a winning double at Happy Valley on Wednesday.
Prepared by Francis Lui, six year-old gelding Convincible won his last two runs
at Happy Valley at the close of last season and resumed from a break in similar
form.
Stakes-placed in Australia at three, he won over 1200 metres as favourite and
has won five of 22 starts.
From the same stable, five year-old Fox Sunter broke his maiden with a neck win
over 1200 metres after placing twice last season.
I Am Invincible colts are set to be in high demand at the yearling sales of
2018, not only for their sire potential, but also for their temperament and constitution
that make them very suitable for Hong Kong.
I am Invincible is fully booked at $110,000 this spring.
