Three
year-old Hussonet (USA) filly Alice Springs added a third win to her tally when
saluting at Vaal in South Africa on Tuesday, bringing a timely pedigree update
for her yearling half-brother headed to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling
Sale for Arrowfield.
Prepared by Mike de Kock for Varsfontein Stud, Alice Springs scored by a length
and three-quarters over 1200 metres.
A $60,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Form Bloodstock from the Arrowfield
draft, Alice Springs is the first winner for brilliant South African
stakes-winner Alexandra Rose (SAfr), who won the Group II Greyville Golden
Slipper among her five wins.
The daughter of Caesour is based at Arrowfield for Team Valor and her current
yearling, a colt by Snitzel will be offered as Lot 270 at Inglis Easter next
month.
Alexandra Rose has a filly foal by Dubai World Cup and Kentucky Derby winner Animal
Kingdom (USA) and is now back in foal to the same sire..
