One of the fastest gallops at the Inglis Ready2Race
breeze up session at Cranbourne on Monday morning was turned in by a stunning
grey son of Aquis Farm's Artie Schiller (USA), who is closely related to former
brilliant grey filly Secret Land.
Clocking a brisk 11.29 seconds on the soft ground, Lot 150 made it look all too
easy as he strode to the line.
Consigned by Lauriston Thoroughbred Farm, the powerhouse grey colt is from
Secret Savings (USA) mare Naseej, a full sister to stakes-winning Secret Land,
who won over $500,000 in prizemoney.
Bred by Emirates Park, as was his famous relation Secret Land, the colt fetched
$50,000 at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale earlier this year and is another
great example of the sort of quality individual Artie Schiller can produce.
The sire of 37 stakes-winners worldwide including Australian Group I winners Flying
Artie, the world champion 3YO Sprinter of 2016 and Laser Hawk, Artie Schiller stands at Aquis Farm at Murrurundi this
spring at a fee of $33,000 and will cover a limited book.
