Tough and Talented

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 15

The winners keep coming for Deep Field and one of his most prolific winners has been two year-old filly Hancora Field, who notched her fourth victory from seven starts at Eagle Farm on Wednesday.

Trained by Leon Ross, Hancora Field finished second on debut at the Gold Coast on January 25 and has been a busy girl since then.

Resuming from a short spell to win last month at the Sunshine Coast, she was sent out favourite today for the 1200m open juvenile event and scored by a long head.

Hancora Field is the best of seven winners from imported stakes-winner Hancora (Fr) and is her last foal.

Deep Field has had a ground breaking season and is the most successful second crop sire by winners in history.
