A post-race comment to another rider after a race in South Australia has earned a jockey a four-week ban.
Stewards completed an inquiry last week into a comment Kate Walters made to apprentice Victor Wong on pulling up after a race at Penola in June.
Wong subsequently made a complaint to stewards, who questioned all jockeys that rode in the race before adjourning the inquiry.
Stewards reviewed the transcript of an investigation before suspending Walters for four weeks for making a comment "which had a racial connotation" to Wong, constituting misconduct or improper conduct.
Stewards noted Walters had previously breached the rule before suspending her from midnight on Tuesday August 29 until midnight on September 26.
