Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday June 16

Half a dozen juvenile trials at Warwick Farm on Tuesday morning on the synthetic track produced some interesting winners including a filly that might be the next I Am Invincible ‘Star’ for champion trainer Chris Waller.

Denise Martin’s Star Thoroughbreds purple and white stars colours have been carried by two outstanding daughters of I Am Invincible in Invincibella and Fiesta, that were both trained by Chris Waller.

The pair won over $4million between them, so they’ve left big hoofprints for two year-old filly Joviality to fill.

Third on debut at Randwick back in February to subsequent stakes-winner Barbaric, Joviality featured prominently in the steward’s report when finishing last at her next run in the Group II ATC Reisling Stakes won by Dame Giselle.

Spelled straight after, she reappeared in a 740m trial this morning and did everything right, finding the front and then cruising clear under a hold to win by a length and a half.

Joviality as a yearling

A $330,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Star Thoroughbreds / Randwick Bloodstock (FBAA) from the Fairhill Farm draft, Joviality is a full sister to metro winner Limbo Soul from Fastnet Rock mare Limbo Down, who comes from the family of stakes-winners Handsome Ransom and Danajaya.

Joviality has obviously pleased connections as they also purchased her full sister at Inglis Classic this year for $350,000!
