Entries Open for Inglis Ready 2 Race

Media Release - Friday June 5

Entries are now open for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale, the sale that produced this year’s G1 Doncaster Mile winner Nettoyer.

The Inglis Ready2Race Sale again proved itself the best 2YO auction in Australia in 2019, with its average of almost $80,000 more than 30% higher than the next best Australian 2YO sale.

Nettoyer was offered in the Inglis Ready 2 Race SaleThe sale, which has the highest winners/runners ratio of any sale of its kind in Australasia, produced a number of outstanding results in 2019, with 25% of horses sold realising $100,000 or more.

The sale is scheduled to be a physical auction at Riverside Stables on Tuesday October 20 and is shaping as the best-ever in terms of quality.

Breeze ups will take place at Seymour (Fri Sept 22), Eagle Farm (Tues Sept 15), Warwick Farm (Fri Sept 18) and Cambridge (Mon Sept 21) in the lead-up to the sale, as well as a second-chance breeze back at Warwick Farm the Friday prior to the auction (Fri Oct 16).

High-quality video of each breeze will be available on the Inglis website within days of the gallops.

“Our Ready2Race Sale continues to grow in stature each year and that’s due to the high quality of product the vendors are producing,’’ Inglis’ NSW Bloodstock Manager Chris Russell said.

“Take last year, we had the likes of George Moore, Lok Lor, Yulong, Gu Tao, Krit Chittaseni, Caspar Fownes – some of Asia’s biggest players – on the buyers’ list but just as significant was the huge increase of the domestic buying bench with the likes of Darby Racing, Anthony Freedman, Arrowfield, Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Aquis, Bjorn Baker, Bob Peters, Kim Waugh, Anton Koolman, Ellerton/Zahra and Mick Price and Michael Kent to name but a few all on the buyer list as well.

“The quality of early stock already confirmed for this sale is stronger than I have seen during my time at Inglis and I’d encourage participants in this part of the market to take this sale very seriously indeed.

“The Inglis Ready2Race Sale has produced 27% more individual winners in Hong Kong since 2018 than the next best sale in Australia and it is facts like these that mean that all the leading buyers will be looking to be participants in our sale.”

Entries for the Inglis Ready2Race Sale close 5pm on Monday August 3.
