Inglis Chairman’s Sale Underway

The first lot offered in the Inglis Chairman’s Sale this afternoon provided a good result for Willow Park Stud with Group I placed Perfect Rhyme selling for $375,000 with a positive test to Darley’s champion sire Exceed and Excel.

Exceed and Excel had a sharp fee increase for 2020 and is advertised at $132,000 with mares in foal to him at this sale looking good value with a covering fee last year of $88,000.

Perfect Rhyme was a modest $40,000 Inglis Classic yearling back in 2015 before emerging as a quality performer with multiple Group placings including a second in the G1 Australian Oaks to Bonneval.

By Dubawi’s Group I winning son Poet’s Voice (GB) from a proven Black Type family she was offered in foal to Exceed and Excel in her first season at stud and bought by Kia Ora Stud.
