First Win for $1.1 Million Frankel Colt

Former champion racehorse and now champion sire Frankel has a great strike rate in Australia with 17 winners from 23 starters with his most recent winner coming at Wyong on Thursday.

$1.1 million Inglis Easter purchase SignificanceA $1.1million Inglis Easter purchase for Domeland from the Arrowfield Stud draft, the John O’Shea trained colt Significance cruised home alone in the 1600 metre maiden.

Sixth and fourth at his two most recent outings in metropolitan maidens on wet tracks, Signficance appreciated a return to firmer footing to power clear and win by seven and a half lengths at his sixth start.

Significance is the first winner for Aqua Bella (GB), an unraced half-sister by Oasis Dream to stakes-winner Ame Bleue from champion staying mare and triple Group I winner Aquarelliste

Frankel’s winners in Australia are headed by Group winners Miss Fabulass, Hungry Heart and Finche, who was fourth in a Melbourne Cup.

He had two yearlings sell at Inglis Easter last week, a filly from Princess Coup that made $670,000 when bought by James Harron Bloodstock and a colt from Thai Noon (IRE) that made $500,000 when bought by Michelle Payne Racing / Sardar Azmoun.
