$2million Mare Produces $1million Filly

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 8

The top priced filly sold in the first session of Inglis Easter online on Tuesday fetched $1million and vindicated the judgement of Tom Magnier, who purchased her dam Srikandi for $2million at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale last year.

Srikandi sold for $2million at the Inglis Chairman's Sale last year

Consigned by Kitchwin Hills, the Srikandi filly by I Am Invincible was knocked down to Andrew Williams Bloodstock.

The filly was a successful pinhook as she was also sold last year fetching $600,000 at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale to dissolve a partnership.

Srikandi has so far done everything right for her new owners Coolmore producing a filly by American Pharoah (USA) and she is now in foal to Justify (USA).
