First Win for Flying Artie Brother

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 31
He will never trouble his famous older half-brother Flying Artie, but three year-old Helmet colt Give is now a winner after scoring at Pakenham on Thursday as favourite.

Give passed in as a yearlingRace fit with two recent runs under his belt and stepping up to 1400 metres, the Jim Moloney trained colt scored by a neck.

Passed in shy of a $350,000 reserve at Inglis Easter and retained to race by his breeders, Give is the fourth winner from four foals to race from Flying Ruby, whose best offspring is Flying Artie, the Champion 3YO Sprinter of 2016.

Flying Ruby has a two year-old filly by Pierro that was also passed in and a yearling colt to follow by Dissident.

She was covered last spring by Flying Artie's sire Artie Schiller (USA).
