New Bloodstock Agency Established

Breednet - Wednesday January 22

A trainer for 30 years with international experience, including multiple group and listed winners in Australia and NZ, Liam Birchley has established a new bloodstock business, Bloodstock Solutions, offering his unique insight into racehorse selection and management.

Liam BirchleyBirchley has built an enviable record at buying successful racehorses, both as weanlings and yearlings, and with the Karaka Yearling Sales starting this week it is worth noting he has purchased six horses to have qualified for the Karaka Millions, winning the race twice with Hardline and Sister Havana, and finishing second with Sarge In Charge.

He has also qualified 20 horses for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic since 2003, 19 of which he selected as either weanlings or yearlings, producing at least one runner in 15 of the last 17 years.

Birchley has also established and now oversees the running of the state-of-the-art Archer Park facility, which offers everything a successful racehorse needs to thrive, including breaking, spelling, pre-training, mid-prep breaks.

A purpose built property, Archer Park is 100 acres of improved pasture an hour north of Brisbane and features facilities such as a six horse aqua walker, eight horse dry walker, high speed treadmill, salt therapy room, 36 boxes, 18 days yards, 18 single spelling yards, practice barriers etc.

It presents a unique opportunity for horses to be selected and managed by Birchley throughout their careers when suitable or in other states where required.

Accustomed to accommodating a range of budgets, Birchley will be attending all major sales going forward where he can purchase on your behalf and he is able to offer a full range of bloodstock advice and services.
