First Northern Hemisphere foal for Saxon Warrior

A Group I winner at two and three over a mile, by champion sire Deep Impact, Coolmore shuttler Saxon Warrior is now back in Ireland after spending last spring at Jerry’s Plains with his first foal born in the Northern Hemisphere impressing his breeder.

Saxon Warrior colt from GloriouslyBorn in France earlier this week, the colt is the first foal out of the Galileo mare Gloriously and he was described by Guillaume Garcon of Haras de l’Hotellerie as “a correct colt with size, bone and quality.”

Saxon Warrior was one of the best colts of his generation and defeated Roaring Lion in both the Group I Racing Post Trophy and the Group I 2,000 Guineas.

He stands at Coolmore Stud in Ireland for a fee of €27,500 and covered nearly 100 mares here at a fee of $24,750.
