Delago Deluxe Shines on Track and at Sales

Media Release - Friday November 22

There are two boxes to be ticked for the proven stallion... is he a reliable source of winners? Can he get sales results?

Delago DeluxeYes and yes for Lucas Bloodstock's underrated Delago Deluxe who has been on fire not only on the track but in the sales ring.

Since the start of the season the regally bred dual Gr.1 winning son of the great Encosta de Lago has been represented by 27 winners with the likes of Sukwhinder (winner of three of her first five starts for the Michael Costa stable) and Hint Of Mint (the Andrew Noblet trained impressive winner of her first two before a close up Listed spring carnival fourth) looking particularly exciting.

The consistent Warracknabeal Cup winner Revlis is another good advertisement for the breed as are the last start winners Dusky Damsel, Khitaamy, Shishaq, Hell On Turf, Totally Mesmerized, Buckin' Beauty and Deladies Boy whilst Eveleigh, Delago At Ease and Fusca have each managed to record consecutive victories.

All terrific horses for their owners whilst two sold at this week’s Karaka Ready To Run Sale gave their vendors great results...

Lot 273, a gelded son of the city placed Exceed And Excel mare Avail impressed so much in his breeze up (10.94 seconds) that Hong Kong's Magus Equine were happy to put their hand up for the $170,000 it took to secure him.

Bred by Newhaven Park, the good-looking bay is a full brother to the lightly raced and promising Total Excess, winner of his first two starts and close up in Gr.3 company at his third outing.

Lot 385, bred by Nordic Racing & Breeding, also caught the eye with his 10.72 second gallop with Glen Harvey securing the full brother to the talented Hankstar for $120,000.

Two horses at the sale - two six figure results, a great achievement for any stallion let alone for one who is so readily available for breeders on a budget - standing at the great value fee of $4,400 at Lucas Bloodstock.

A $145,000 average - a massive 32.9 X service fee result. The breeding season is nearly at a close but it is by no means too late to get your mare to Delago Deluxe, the proven upgrader who suits both the owner/breeder and the seller.
