Juvenile Trial Watch – Rosehill

Tara Madgwick - Thursday November 14

Two heats for juveniles at the Rosehill barrier trials on Thursday morning produced two Magic Millions sold winners, one of which fetched $1.3million at the Gold Coast and the other is a daughter of first season sire Exosphere.

$1.3million I Am Invincible colt Volterra is from Magic Albert stakes-winner Tai Tai Tess making him a full brother to $2million colt Faretti, who has managed one win from four starts. Volterra looked a tractable colt in this trial, settling behind the leaders for Kerrin McEvoy and then surging to the line under a hold between horses to win by a length.

Yarraman Park will offer another I Am Invincible colt from Tai Tai Tess at the 2020 Magic Millions as Lot 840.

Darley’s Exosphere posted a nice winner here in Jemss, who was third at her first trial behind subsequent Golden Gift winner Dame Giselle last month. Jemss is from unraced More Than Ready (USA) mare Carbon Tax, whose dam is a half-sister to Victoria Derby winner Redding from the famed Leica family.
