The ageless More Than Ready (USA) is now the leading sire of Breeders’ Cup winners after Chad Brown-trained Uni took the Vinery Stud shuttlers total to seven in the TVG Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) at Santa Anita on Saturday’s.
The only two females in the race, Uni turned the tables on her Fourstardave (G1) conqueror Got Stormy by an emphatic one and a half lengths.
The Fourstardave was Uni’s only defeat in her last seven starts.
"Joel (Rosario) did exactly what we planned, which was to break as well as you can and let her find herself in the first turn," Brown told The Blood-Horse.
"Luckily, Without Parole moved to the rail for us, and we were in the two path and sort of raced as a team down the backside. I just loved where my spot was."
Bred by Haras d'Etreham, Uni was a €40,000 yearling purchase at the 2015 Arqana August Sale.
She advances her overall record to 10 wins three seconds and three thirds from 18 starts with earnings of $2,347,880.
More Than Ready (USA) also features as the broodmare sire of Friday’s GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Structor (Palace Malice) and of GII Juvenile Turf Sprint hero Four Wheel Drive (American Pharoah).

On Friday it was Coolmore Stud’s high-profile Triple Crown winner American Pharoah (USA) who put a stamp on an exciting first crop when Irad Ortiz, Jr. guided the Wesley Ward-trained 2yo colt Four Wheel Drive Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint.
Former Coolmore shuttler Giant's Causeway left a wonderful legacy with his son Shamardal (USA) and he has a leading Horse of the Year candidate in Bricks and Mortar who capped a perfect six for six season with his hard-fought victory in the $4 million Longines Breeders' Cup Turf.
Bricks and Mortar heads to Japan in 2020 following another son of Giant’s Causeway in Eskendereya who sired the Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) winner Mitole.
Darley Stud’s six-season shuttler Hard Spun (USA) chipped in with the Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile winner Spun To Run who lowered the colours of the favourite and fellow 3yo Omaha Beach by two and three-quarter lengths.
Five season shuttler Equiano (FR) sired the Breeders Cup Turf Sprint winner Belvoir Bay (GB).
A 20,000gns Tattersalls October yearling, Belvoir Bay was purchased for $625,000 at last year’s Fasig-Tipton November and is catalogued for the same sale next week.
The day’s feature the $6 million Longines Breeders' Cup Classic proved a cakewalk for the Todd Pletcher-trained 4yo Curlin colt Vino Rosso who earned redemption of sorts after he lost the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) at Belmont in the stewards room.
A $410,000 Keeneland September yearling, Vino Rosso advanced his record to 6 wins, 1 second and 3 thirds from 15 starts with earnings of $4,803,125.
A half-brother to Grade III placed So Alive (Super Saver), Vino Rosso is out of the winning Street Cry (IRE) mare Mythical Bride.
