He's a nice horse. He's obviously come back really well this prep. Like I was saying previously Matt obviously had a high opinion of him to take him towards the Black Opal in his first preparation and that was a good solid win again. They made him work to get across to the front but what I liked was when he got there all he wanted to do was relax underneath me. |

NIC'S VENDETTA |
Josh Adams |
Good run. Back to 1100m, fresh is probably his go. I think there is another one in two weeks at 1200m which should suit him. But he gets a lot of weight against these horses and that makes it very difficult. |

LIFESAVER |
Tye Angland |
We got out in time but he just didn't sprint as well as I thought he would. He might be looking for 1400m. |
4th |
UNDAOAF |
Brock Ryan (a3) |
Travelled up really well but just couldn't sprint with them. Battled away. |
5th |
LEVEE BANK |

She ran home well after missing the start. |

Couldn't sprint with them. |

She went ok, I thought she was brave but she hung a bit, so it didn't do us any favours. |
8th |
MUSIC MAGIC |
Andrew Adkins (a1.5) |
Obviously went a bit silly in the barriers but has probably had enough at the same time. |

MARIQUITA |
Rachel King (a1.5) |
She made it a lot easier for herself today. She was always racing very well before but just wasn't beginning as well and making it hard but flashing home. She was always travelling really well and I know she has a great turn of foot. |

AWOKE (NZ) |
Hugh Bowman |
No luck. |

CHATUCHAK |

She ran honest first go at the trip. Maybe better ridden in behind. |

PRADA MISS |
Tye Angland |
Not a bad run. Tactically we got into a nice position. Hughy cranked it up a little earlier than I would have liked. I let him go, followed him into the corner but wasn't good enough to pick them up. |
5th |
ELOUERA |
Kathy O'Hara |
Track was a bit too firm for her today. |

She was just outclassed. |

Terrific. Ran well first-up and is a talented colt on his day. Jumped and cruised along, just kept increasing the speed and he was too good for them. |
2nd |
MARSUPIAL |
Glyn Schofield |
I must admit when I popped off Pumpkin Pies back I thought I was the winner. He accelerated well but I think just a bit of race fitness from the winner. |
3rd |
ISORICH |
Lee Magorrian (a3) |
Ran a real nice race, probably 1200m would have been perfect for him today. He was really coming again strongly at the line. |

Solid effort. |

LADY JIVAGO |

He ran honest, it's just hard to make ground. Obviously the track is quick and he likes the cut out of the ground. |

Another good run from this mare. She's knocking on the door. |

VAUCLUSE BAY |

Didn't get much luck. The speed went on way too early and then it was just a bottle neck. I don't know how the winner got through. |

Super win. He was able to travel the bit stronger today and picked up really well to the line. He's just the type of horse you've got to keep him happy and keep him full of confidence. He's got a lot of ability but he's a bit older now and if he gets knocked around he's not going to want to give for you and he definitely gave everything today. |

MAHALANGUR (NZ) |
Brenton Avdulla |
He ran well. He's a really nice colt. That will teach him a lot. I went to make my run on him at the 300m, Hughie went past so quick that when he went past my bloke shied away from him and then he went to the line half-hearted. |

He's a textbook ride. He begins well and makes his own luck in running. He travelled exceptionally well. When I came up to Jay he just knuckled down, ears back and really hit the line. He gave me a great feel. I was never in doubt. |
