What the jockeys said after the San Domenico Stakes

Breednet - Saturday August 26

Everything went to script in Saturday's San Domenico Stakes at Rosehill with the heavily fancied Pariah given the dream run throughout by Blake Shinn to score a stylish win.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained colt was given a beautiful rails hugging ride behind the speed from his awkward barrier before being produced down the centre of the track to record a length win over Hawkes' Chauffeur ($10), with a neck further back to Godolphin's Jorda.

Once again, Racenet was on hand to get the feedback from every rider after the race.

This is what the jockeys thought of their rides in the San Domenico Stakes.

PARIAH

Blake Shinn

It was great to see the horse come back the way he has today. Things couldn't have panned out any better from an awkward draw but the horse did everything I asked of him it's great to see him come back for everyone involved.

2nd

CHAUFFEUR

Brenton Avdulla

He was terrific. He jumped well but he's just go no speed and wanted to relax. I tracked Pariah everywhere he went and his best work was the last 50m.

3rd

JORDA

Glyn Schofield

Needed the run but couldn't find it. Ran well.

4th

MADEENATY

Corey Brown

Ran great, just peaked on her run. She'll improve out of sight on that.

5th

SPEED STREET

Rachel King (a0)

Not a bad run first-up. Probably just got a little bit tired first-up.

6th

TAKING AIM

Hugh Bowman

Good first-up run.

7th

PERAST

Jay Ford

He's actually going better than it looks. He just wants further and in a race where he can control it.

8th

CONDOR HEROES

Tim Clark

He'll improve with the run.

9th

ANOTHER SIN

Josh Adams

He just raced liked a tired horse. He's done a good job this prep.
