The catalogue for the Tattersalls December Foal Sale is online now and will be available in print on October 21st. Numbering 1,125 lots, the December Foal Sale will take place Wednesday 27th November to Saturday 30th November.

Currently in Australia, Galileo's Churchill will have his first foals on showEurope's premier foal sale boasts an outstanding catalogue, with no less than 147 foals by the current top 15 active British and Irish sires and well over 200 by the current top 20, including ACCLAMATION, CAMELOT, DARK ANGEL, DUBAWI, FRANKEL, GALILEO, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, KINGMAN, KODIAC, LOPE DE VEGA, NO NAY NEVER, SEA THE STARS and SHOWCASING. The catalogue also features own and half brothers and sisters to almost 160 Group and Listed winners including the GALILEO half-brother to 2017 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches winner PRECIEUSE and more than 70 foals out of Group and Listed winning mares including the FRANKEL colt first foal out of the outstanding Classic winner SIMPLE VERSE.


As ever, first crop sires feature prominently, with a total of 25 represented including Classic and Group 1 winners ACLAIM, CARAVAGGIO, CHURCHILL, DECORATED KNIGHT, GALILEO GOLD, HIGHLAND REEL, JACK HOBBS, MONDIALISTE, NATIONAL DEFENSE, POSTPONED, PROFITABLE, RIBCHESTER and ULYSSES.


French based sires also feature prominently with established Group 1 sires LE HAVRE, OLYMPIC GLORY, SIYOUNI and WOOTTON BASSETT well represented alongside first crop sires ALMANZOR, ECTOT and ZARAK.


The largest consignment is the team of 43 foals coming from Paul and Sara Thorman's Trickledown Stud, closely followed by the 39 to come from The National Stud and 35 from the Castlebridge Consignment. Locally based New England Stud, which topped the 2018 December Foal Sale with the GALILEO own sister to DECORATED KNIGHT, has a team of 22 foals.
