Nicconi's
star sprinter Nature Strip has gained a slot for the $14million Everest with
James Harron Bloodstock declaring him as their runner.
James Harron Bloodstock are delighted to partner with a great team of owners
led by Rob Lyons and champion trainer Chris Waller.
Harron said he had been playing a waiting game but the time had come to make a
move.
"Nature Strip is one of the most exciting and talked about sprinters in the
country," he said.
"We are delighted to have him running in our slot which is owned by Belinda
Bateman, Fergus and Delia Doyle, Phil and Glenda Mehrten, Rob Love, John and
Fran Ingham, Danny and Pauline Saab and Gary Diamond.
"He's a horse with a bit of x-factor, and importantly for us is proven in all
track conditions and is an on speed runner in a race which so far looks lacking
in such types, so he should go into the race with a great chance."
The best runner to date sire by Widden Stud's Nicconi, five year-old Nature Strip
is has the overall record of 11 wins from 18 starts with prizemoney topping
$1.8 million and is a last start winner of the Group I MVRC Moir Stakes.
