Real Impact and Deep Field Colts Breeze Fastest at Inglis Ready2Race Gallop Session

Media Release - Friday September 20

A pair of Damien Lane-prepared 2YOs stole the show at today's Warwick Farm breeze ups ahead of the 2019 Inglis Ready2Race Sale.

Real Impact colt from Madison ParkLots 99 (Real Impact x Madison Park, pictured) and 138 (Deep Field x Prinny's Girl) breezed as a pair, with the colts stopping the clock at 10.17secs and 10.18secs respectively.

Today's breeze ups were transferred to the pro-ride track after 92ml of rain fell on the course proper in the lead-up.

Lane didn't set out for the pair to be the day's fastest.

"But that said, I'm not totally surprised either because they are both very nice horses and I was very impressed by both of them today,'' Lane said.

"The Deep Field is a ready-made colt and the Real Impact has improved through the prep so much so for him to be the fastest time today is a credit to his continuing maturity.

"I've no doubt these horses and the rest of the draft will continue to come on in the next three weeks before they head to Riverside for the sale where they will no doubt be popular with prospective buyers.''

The times, photos and videos of all of today's breeze ups will be available atinglis.com.au and the Inglis iPad app within thenext 48 hours.

The Inglis breeze ups continue next week when Eagle Farm and Taupo host sessions on Monday (Sept 23) from 10am.

There will be a final session at Warwick Farm on Friday October 18 for horses who were unable to breeze at the earlier sessions.

The Inglis Ready2Race Sale – which has more winners to runners than any other Australasian 2YO Sale since 2013 - will be held at Riverside Stables on Tuesday October 22, three days after The Everest.

On-site inspections will begin on Friday October 18, which will coincide with a brunch and full catalogue parade at Riverside Stables for all interested participants that morning.
