Silent Achiever Foals a Kingman Colt

Mark Smith - Sunday September 1

Remember that gorgeous giant-killing O'Reilly mare Silent Achiever who slew fellow New Zealander Dundeel in the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes and Group 1 The BMW at Rosehill Gardens in the autumn of 2014?.

A daughter of the Zabeel mare Winning Spree, Silent Achiever (image Mark Smith ) also won the Group I New Zealand Derby and the Group I New Zealand Stakes on the way to banking over $3.1 million for owner/breeder Kevin Hickman.

Let it not be said that Hickman has not given the sleek, near-black, mare every chance to succeed at stud.

She was sent to Europe at the conclusion of her career on the track.

After producing a filly and a colt by the world champion Frankel in her first two seasons, Silent Achiever had a colt by champion Galileo last year and recently foaled a colt by Juddmonte Stud's red-hot young stallion Kingman at Brook Stud in Newmarket, England.

Hickman's Valachi Downs Stud in New Zealand shared a picture on its Facebook page of the day old Kingman colt.

There will be no resting on laurels as Silent Achiever has another booking to Coolmore Stud's record-setting Galileo.

All the coverings have been to southern hemisphere time. Her first foal, the Frankel filly, has been named Lady Faustina (GB)
