Darley Stallion Parade at Kelvinside

Tara Madgwick - Friday August 30
Over 700 guests attended the annual Darley stallion parade at Kelvinside last weekend with the safari concept again proving popular as visitors took their time to get up close and personal with their favourites.

"Obviously we are delighted at the huge crowd that attended the parade," said Alastair Pulford.

"The horses look magnificent and I am pleased that our newcomers were particularly well received. Kementari is a magnificent individual who is ensured of a great opportunity at stud and everyone has been thoroughly impressed with Harry Angel. He is a lovely quality sprinter who is very much a representative of his exceptional sire Dark Angel," said Darley's Alastair Pulford.

Darley stalwarts Lonhro and Exceed and Excel are in prime condition, the champion sires both well prepared for another busy breeding season.

Exceed and Excel

"Lonhro is always a crowd pleaser and looks as well as he ever has. Amazing considering his age and Exceed And Excel has arrived back from Ireland in tip top condition after his 15th consecutive season of shuttling," said Pulford.

Young guns Ribchester, returning for his second season, and Territories, who will have yearlings at he 2020 sales, received high praise from breeders.

Ribchester

"Ribchester and Territories are two more Darley shuttle stallions that have let down well since we last saw them in Australia. Ribchester's first foals are the talk of Ireland and we're already getting great reports from breeders locally," Pulford added.
