Former Australian Horse of the Year Lankan Rupee will have his first start since last spring in the Bletchingly Stakes while Keen Array will make his first appearance since an unplaced effort in the Group I Winterbottom Stakes in Perth last November.

The top duo will give away a fitness advantage to the Sir John Monash Stakes winner Supido and emerging sprinter Ability, who has won his three starts since being gelded.

Former Perth speedster Chocolate Holic will make a belated debut for the Darren Weir in the Bletchingly Stakes after his withdrawal from the Sir John Monash Stakes on July 15.

Saturday's nine-race card also features the VOBIS Gold Stayers (2400m) and VOBIS Gold Ingot (1200m). Both races are worth $150,000.

Saturday's program starts at 11:55am (AEDT). The track was rated a good (4) at acceptance time while the rail will be in the true position for the entire circuit.

The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Melbourne for the rest of the week is:

Wednesday: Shower or two. Max 14.
Thursday: Late shower or two. Max 15.
Friday: Shower or two. Max 15.
